Hello! It feels like it’s been ages since I said hello properly! I hope you are enjoying 2019 so far? I had a great 2 week break from the hermit zone, but since returning to work in January it feels like I have never been away. January was a very cold month, but yesterday it was a delightful 14 degrees in the workshop! Woohoo! Spring is on its way. So, I have been busy making lots of pots to restock the website, Independent Zebra and Marchmont Gallery in Edinburgh, and I am also very happy to have some work back in Sunshine No.1 in Glasgow. I am completing some other shop orders which will be ready soon, and thinking about some new products and designs. Exciting!
Making and creating is such a big part of my life and I love hand making all sorts of presents for my friends and family. For Christmas I made some hanging planters as gifts and those who got them were delighted, those who didn’t were disappointed. I needed to rectify this so made some more when I got back to the workshop. They were so popular I thought I would make a small batch to see if you guys liked them too. I am considering doing them in all my colour ranges, but at the moment they are just available in the Grey & Gold Limited Edition Collection. Please let me know what you think.
My aims for this year are pretty much the same as every other year, work hard but take one day off a week, and actually stick to it! I always start the year with such great intentions but the day off soon goes out the window. When you work from home it’s so easy to get sucked back into the workshop but this year I’m going to TRY MY HARDEST! So that might mean less time for blogging, but don’t worry, any important news will be on here and I will always keep you up to date through social media.
*IMPORTANT NEWS* I am very pleased to tell you that I will be exhibiting at both Potfest Scotland and Potfest in the Pens. It’s a good bit away yet so I will remind you nearer the time!
As you can see revamping the website is under way and I hope it will be finished soon. You are still able to shop as normal and the web shop is well stocked. I hope you like the new look and find it easy to use.
